If you are using win7, you may need to wait about 3 minutes for the firewall to see new network connection and all you to connect through it.

On mine it took about 2 minutes, after selecting the wifi spot, and then a pop-up appeared saying new network found basically laptopname->iphone name -> cell network and how would i like to set it up as access( home, work, public )

after that initial setup, it takes seconds and connected now.

Go the the website for the manufacturer of your network adapter. Update to the newest file. Once it has the latest update it works. I'm on win 7 64 and the auto update didn't work. When I went to Intel and downloaded the current file that solved the problem. Instantly connected wifi and really works well! Good luck.

this works, i just updated my intel wireless drivers for my laptop, go to the website of the manufacturer, don't go to your laptop company, most of the times they have the old drivers
