Correct! Install all three debs, drop in that move.sh file and REBOOT

Honestly if your not that comfortable with the process, then just wait. This JB release was primarily for developers to update their packages. It's obvious your not a developer, so no harm in waiting.

The instructions are virtually identical for a PC except that the screenshots are different.

Look, if you don't know what you're doing, then don't go messing with a jailbreak for developers.

I really want to try this, but when it takes ~20 hours to convert 10,000 tracks from lossless to 256kbps, not to mention the hour or so for uploading apps, photos, etc., then I'm given some serious pause before committing. I suppose I should try this on my iPad first, since I don't much care how many restores that needs. Anyone else in my boat?
They can have my jailbreak when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Once you do the jailbreak and install Cydia following this method, you won't be restoring anymore. At least until the official fix comes up, no telling if that's gonna break this or not.

What do you mean 'convert 10,000 tracks?' Aren't they already in itunes? Try it it on the iPad so you feel comfortable and then take the plunge!

In iTunes if you have songs with a high bitrate you can have them sync to your phone at a lower quality to save space. Great little feature.

I can't imagine ever needing 10,000 songs on my phone, but to each their own
