Default Putting in another GSM sim.
I unlocked my iPhone using the iUnlock method. My question is if i have a friend come over who has a TMobile cell phone is there anyway he can just pop in his SIM and have the iPhone work without me having to go into iNdependance(on my Mac) and click activate? Or will i have to do this everytime i swap a sim? Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm...i'm not clear as to how iNDependance activates the phone, but my ATT phone has had a few diff SIMs in it (yeah...my phone gets around...so what?) with no re-activating required. You currently have to re-activate it everytime you swap a SIM? sounds like a PITA to me...

If you use the lockdown method like you're supposed to you shouldn't have to reactivate everytime.

My roomate put his T-mobile sim in right after I did it, and it worked fine. He made a few calls and gave it back. Worked immediately after I put my at&t sim back in.

Default I haven't had any problems either
I've swapped out my ATT card for different T-Mobile ones on several occasions and haven't had any thing regarding 'reactivation'

during the unlock process you apparently didn't replace 'lockdownd' with the modded version of it.
one of the first steps of the unlock is replacing /usr/libexect/lockdownd with a hacked version.

I'm having problems uploading lockdownd too ... it keeps denying me with a "couldn't handle remote" message -- what's that mean?
