    Question Installing Theme/Icons w/iPHUC
    Hi All,
I've been at this since 6am today. I've jailbroken the phone, and I'm using iPHUC on a PPC Mac. Please, someone help me to move forward here!

    Here's my phone in Terminal:

    Welcome to Darwin!
    new-host:~ mak$ cd phonedmg/iphuc/iPhone/trunk/iPHUC
    new-host:~/phonedmg/iphuc/iPhone/trunk/iPHUC mak$ ./iPHUC
    iphuc 0.5.0

initPrivateFunctions: this is still not clean. Architecture: powerpc
    AMDeviceNotificationSubscribe: 0
    CFRunLoop: Waiting for iPhone.
    notification: iPhone attached.
    AMDeviceConnect: 0
    AMDeviceIsPaired: 1
    AMDeviceValidatePairing: 0
    AMDeviceStartSession: 0
    AMDeviceStartService AFC: 0
    AFCConnectionOpen: 0
    AFCPlatformInit: (no retval)
notification: Entering shell in Normal Mode.
    shell: Entering loop.
    (iPHUC) /:

Now, do I have to follow the instructions in Step 7 of "iPhone Skinning" (Please keep in mind that I'm using iPHUC on a PPC Mac) in order to change my icons?

    From Step 7:
"Now to replace all those icons with my custom ones i used a alot of the "cd" and "putfile" commands in IphoneInterface in terminal. Note to load a file it must be in the phonedmg folder that you made earlier. As you can see a lot of the icons are name icon.png. Basically I would cd to a directory, move the correct icon.png file into my phonedmg folder, "putfile icon.png", change directories in terminal again, replace the icon.png in my phonedmg folder with the appropriate folder I was in on the phone, "putfile icon.png", and repeat. To give you a clearer idea of what I was entering in terminal I have included it below. NOTICE the last two steps are "cd /System/Library/Lockdown" followed by the enter key then "putfile Services.plist" then the enter key. This is necessary to make sure your iphone continues to sync with iTunes."

    Thanks! Mike

Step 7 is no longer true for iPHUC.

You didn't show the setafc command and therefore you'd likely NOT have full access to your iPhone.

Here's what my terminal screen looks like:

Now, given that you DO have full access, here's the way I do it:
    cd /Applications
    cd Calculator.app
    putfile
<now drag the Calculator icon.png into the terminal window and press enter>
    cd ..
    cd Maps.app
    putfile
<now drag the Maps icon.png into the terminal window and press enter>

Note you must include a SPACE after putfile

When you are done type exit
    Restart your iPhone

    Good luck
    PS You are whining
