I don't think i was smart enough to use that guide. This is the only guide I found that broke everything down to super simple instructions without me needing to enter in much code:

Gotta love a good script. All the same thing... one is copy paste, one is run and install. I like iPHUC, and none of those scripts work with iPHUC yet.

oh and by the way, I (the super-idiot that I be) now have NES up and running on my iPhone.

For those of you still struggling, these are the websites that I used to get things going.

    Basic 'SSH'ing:
    http://www.winandmac.com/mobile/ipho...pps-in-iphone/

the 'chmod' commands half way down the page on this site were useful at the end:
    http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2263

this one showed me how to make the directories for the NESApp:
    http://code.google.com/p/iphonenes/issues/detail?id=7

    Notes:
I basically scrapped everything I had done previously and started afresh from step 1 (setting up the phonedmg folder for jailbreaking).
I used the aforementioned website as a step-by-step guide for SSH
To actually "get into the iPhone" (improper terminology?) over wifi I had to type in ssh -l root <your ip address here (no pointy carrot things on the ends)> password: dottie --->at the end, this is where I had to chmod stuff
I had to use iPhoneinterface to make some directories for roms and such ('mkdir's in link 3)
Most importantly (I forgot this one) I had to restart my iPhone as the very very last step before the icons showed up on my screen

-Hope this stuff helps somebody who was stuck as bad as me at one point.

Thanks!! Those 3 links were way better than the guide that is up here!

In about 10 minutes, I had NES running.

Ha, there IS no third-party apps guide here yet, so of course its better. I keep meaning to get to it, but I haven't had time yet, sorry... I'll get to it as soon as possible!
