Default Tim Cook Visits Israel and Meets President Reuven Rivlin

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently met with Israeli President, Rueven Rivlin, as the Cupertino California company prepared to open a new office in the country. There was previous speculation pointing towards Cook visiting Israel – a move which was confirmed when the Apple CEO sat down with Israel’s president and a photo was taken by Inbal Orpaz.

Tim Cook’s appearance seems to also coincide the opening of Apple’s new research and development office in Herzliya Pituach – just 20 minutes north of Tel Aviv. The building is set to be home to 800 employees who worked for the flash memory manufacturer, Anobit and the motion sensing company, PrimeSense, both of which were acquired by Apple previously. Cook is said to commemorate the opening of the new offices as part of his visit to the region.

For those of you who didn’t know, Apple seems to have a growing significance in terms of corporate presence in Israel with additional research and development sites in Ra’anana and Hafia.

Cook’s appearance in Israel comes just one day after the Apple CEO was in Germany where he visited the offices of Bild and also met with several Apple retail workers in the region. The Cupertino California company seems to be doing a good job steadily expanding its global presence and gaining a larger influence outside of the US as well as inside.
