On Thursday, Apple released iTunes 12.1 for OS X Yosemite users. The update brings with it some new features and bug fixes to make the user experience better.

The major new feature to be obtained with today's update is that iTunes now offers a Notification Center widget for OS X Yosemite users. The widget allows you to control the music that you're playing, similarly to the way Control Center in iOS lets you control your music. The widget also lets you buy songs from iTunes while you're streaming from iTunes Radio.

Apple also notes that the update improves the reliability and performance of syncing your iOS devices, such as iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

To grab this update, you can open the Mac App Store and navigate to the "Updates" tab.
