On Wednesday, IMS Internet Media Services, a digital marketing and communications company, issued a statement to the press regarding its freshly secured partnership with Apple.

According to IMS, the firm has been retained by Apple to help sell iAd across Latin America. We're told that they will be the sole reseller of iAd in Latin America.

Once again underscoring Apple's interest, involvement and focus in this region, Apple's iAd expansion will kick off in Brazil and Mexico, which are described in today's announcement as "two of Latin America's fastest growing markets."

Despite no shortage of glitches and setbacks along the way, iAd is finally getting a foothold in the mobile advertising space and making surprisingly big gains across the global community, particularly in young mobile markets that have finally begun embracing Apple's iPhone.

"We are thrilled to help brands with a Latin American presence navigate Apple's comprehensive advertising platform," Gastón Taratuta, CEO of IMS, is quoted in this morning's news release. "iAd's rich, engaging user experience provides an unparalleled opportunity to reach and serve customers through finely-tuned targeted messages in each country. With this partnership, advertisers will not only be able to access the fast growing digital and mobile markets in Brazil and Mexico, but also target Apple consumers in these regions for the first time."
