Default Apple's 14-Day Return Policy for iTunes Now Extended to Europe

It has been reported that Apple’s 14-day return policy for iTunes content has now been extended to consumers in the European Union. Customers in Europe now have two weeks to ask for a refund on most iTunes Store content. This was spotted on Apple’s recent country-specific PDF file, making the two-week return policy consistent with products as well as digital items. German blog iFun reported that this is the first time Apple has given details on the process, even though Europe already has heavy consumer protection laws and is therefore lenient with refunds. According to the documents, redeemed iTunes gift codes are not refundable but most other content is, without reason.

Consumers will also be able to request for refunds via Apple’s online ‘Report a Problem’ link or by filling out a form and sending the physical copy to the Cupertino-based company’s Luxembourg headquarters. It was also noted that Apple said refunds will be processed within the 14-day time period from when the cancellation is received. iTunes Support can be used for other content like Season Pass, non-redeemed iTunes gifts, iTunes Match, and Multi-Pass.
