Apple confirmed on its official website today that that the company will resume hosting "Hour of Code" at its retail stores this month.

Per the shared details, the events in question will take place around the globe, not merely in the U.S.

The announcement comes as the world prepares to acknowledge "Computer Science Education Week" (December 814). Consequently, Apple says it's doing its part to recognize the week and support support by hosting workshops and other special events at local Apple Stores.

"Join us on December 11 for the Hour of Code, a free one-hour introduction to the basics of computer programming," Apple says. Interested prospective attendees are encouraged to check with their local Apple Store for event details.
