Apple recently issued a golden master build of the upcoming Xcode 6.1.1 update. The Xcode 6.1.1 GM, labeled build 6A2006, brings bug fixes for the Xcode Server, Swift programming language and Interface Builder, among other features.

More specifically, Apple ended up resolving several issues which caused crash events in Swift as well as other coding bugs. Permission problems were lso patched along with crashes and SSH handling on the Xcode Server. The GM also addresses an issue in Interface Builder that would previously prevent the opening or compiling of IB documents which contained a slash in its image name. Last but not least, the OCUnit and SenTestingKit framework were identified as frameworks which will be completely removed from the software in a future release. Developers instead were encouraged to migrate to XCTest and Xcode testing.

Developers who are interested in downloading the updated version of Xcode can download the 2.5 GB GM update along with the Command Line Tools Package through Apple’s developer portal.
