According to Business Weekly, Apple is looking to open its first Cambridge, England office in the upcoming weeks. It will be a new research and development operations facility, and will be close in proximity to Microsoft and Sony headquarters. The offices are said to be a prestigious corporate building and will be located at 90 Hills Road. Business Weekly reported that the Cupertino-based company will be looking to start off small by having only 20 new staff members, but will be able to fit as many as 40 in the space in the future.

Other companies in Cambridge include ARM, a microprocessor manufacturer and Broadcom, a wireless communications company. Both of which have campuses in the vicinity. It has been said that the UK have asked Apple to open an office in Britain for the last 25 years but the company has yet to establish one until now. The Cupertino-based company has other research and development operations all around the world, including Shanghai, Taiwan, and other countries.
