Thursday morning, Apple's online Web store went offline ahead of the special event that the Cupertino-based company has planned. Starting at 10 A.M. PDT (1 P.M. EST), Apple's top executives will take the stage and introduce some great new products. The Web site should come back online shortly after the event with information on the new products and services.

Expected at today's event is the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, both of which were leaked yesterday by Apple's iOS 8 user guide. Additionally, some new Macs are also expected, as is information about OS X Yosemite, ans possibly iOS 8.1.

The new iPads will both appear to support Apple's Touch ID fingerprint-scanning technology, and iOS 8.1 suggests that the iPad Air 2 could carry a retina HD display like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus do.

Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated on the new products, as well as let you know when the Apple Store goes back online!
