Default 49ers Colin Kaepernick Fined $10,000 by the NFL for Wearing Beats Headphones
We reported just a few days ago that NFL players are no longer allowed to wear Beats headphones before their games, and up to an hour and a half after their game finishes. This is the reason because Bose is the new headphone sponsor for the NFL and banned players from wearing other company’s headphones in front of cameras. However, just a few days after this report, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing Beats headphones after a recent game. Kaepernick is seen wearing a pair of pink headphones not by Bose, in the video above after their winning game on Sunday.

Kaepernick has been in many Apple’s Beats advertisements and apparently owns more than one headset from the company. It was noted by the quarterback that his pink headphones were worn to honor breast cancer awareness month. He stated:

I support breast cancer awareness! My grandma is a survivor!....... *shrugs* some things are now important!

The caption was seen with a picture of the article where he was fined, posted onto his Instagram account. It was recently also confirmed that coaches as well as players from the NFL are banned from wearing headphones by companies other than Bose. This includes during interviews and even pre game stretching.

It's honestly so dumb that I have no witty retort.

Edit: The situation, not the article. You go Akshay.

^^Agreed! Should be able to wear any headphones they like. Just because the NFL signed a Bose headphones deal, doesn't mean other headphones don't exist. On a funny note, now he has the most expensive set of Beats haha!

I'm pretty disappointed in Bose for imposing this stupid rule. They don't need to resort to childish acts just to promote their products. Bose has always been a great brand so who cares if a few NFL players wanna think their cool by wearing headphones that are garbage.

Be the bigger person and lift this ridiculous ban.

Beats needs to send a pair of earmuff knock-offs to every NFL player, just to keep 'em guessing. The ban never said ANYTHING about earmuff brands.

Not a fan of Kaeperprick but good for him. What will the NFL ban next? He should take a bunch of selfies with them on and post them all over the internet and say they are an hour and a half after the game.

Actually no. Sherm gave all his team mates special edition beats head phones before the Superbowl valued at 25 k each.

Anyone who buys those crap headphones should be fined, Bose are far superior, mind you, so are Pioneers, and many others lol.

But in all seriousness, shouldn't Bose just give them all a set of headphones that are better, then the players would wear them anyway and bin the beats?

Colin fixed it by putting tape on the headphones

He should use this sticker, instead!
