It's a small update, but a notable one nonetheless.

On Wednesday, Apple updated its official Apple Store App for iOS to optimize the user experience for individuals who now own a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

All told, version 3.0.1 of the app is a minor update but the graphical improvements remain important, especially for those accessing the app on Apple's latest mobile hardware.

If you haven't yet downloaded the app, what you will eventually notice is the more attractive appearance of the mobile storefront on 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays.

Until today, the former version of the Apple Store app relied on iOS 8's ability to automatically upsize an app's characteristics to suit the larger screens. But it was far from an optimal appearance.
