Default Apple Prepping Retail Footprint in the Middle East

Of the more than 400 Apple retail stores now open for business across the global landscape, there's one region where Apple is yet to augment its retail footprint to any meaningful degree. And that's the Middle East.

But with each passing year, Apple's retail presence grows more worldly. Consequently, the Middle East is now squarely on Apple's radar. In fact, published reports Wednesday indicate that a store in the heart of this region will open for business next year.

Apple, we're told, will open "its biggest store in the world" at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, EDGAR Daily reports. The store mostly likely won't open until the spring of 2015.

Given the relative newness and unproven track record of this media outlet, some are holding their breath with regard to the assurances given about Apple's retail aims in the Middle East. Nonetheless, the site is standing firm behind its claims.

"After regional media picked up on UAE-based job advertisements by the Californian company," the report concludes, "we have insider knowledge that the Majid Al Futtaim owned mall will become home to Apple’s first flagship in the Middle East."
