A number of renders have already been showing the California based Apple Campus 2 project and the progression of the spaceship-like building these past few weeks. Now, German website ifun.de has released photos of early architectural samples with the chosen design for Apple Campus 2. According to the German website, the structure was spotted on the premise of Josef Gartner GmbH. The reason as to why the sample structure even exists is because materials for the building still need to be tested.

Photos revealed of the Apple Campus 2 don't show anything we haven’t already seen. However, the photo(s) offer a perspective of the size of the structure as you can compare it to the construction equipment. Although the pictures were taken in Germany, Cupertino has similar life size model constructions as well. Designer and architect Norman Foster has previously discussed the influence from Stanford’s campus and his experience working with Steve Jobs on the project. It is expected for Campus 2 to open sometime in 2016.
