Apple recently resolved an iTunes problem that caused some customers to see only limited access to the online store for about three hours. But details of the downtime are not clear and have not been publicized. Around 11:30 a.m. Pacific time, there were reports of the problem when customers from different parts of the world had limited access to Apple’s online stores. Some of the limited store access includes streaming Apple TV content, iTunes Music Store, and App Store. But three hours later, Re/code confirmed that Apple notified them that the issue was resolved.

Outages in certain locations were confirmed meanwhile other areas were unaffected during the three-hour service blackout. This suggests that the issue might have been a server-handling problem. Customers dealt with error messages and others experienced a white blank screen when trying to access the iTunes-connected app. It is unclear as to what caused the interrupted service and Apple has not updated the System Status webpage.
