Default Director of Jobs Biopic Hoping to Cast Christian Bale as Steve Jobs

The Wrap has reported that director David Fincher, who is in the talks of directing Aaron Sorkinís scripted Steve Jobs biopic, wants Christian Bale to play the lead role. For those who did not already know, the script is based off Water Isaacsonís biography on Steve Jobs. Although the film does not officially have a director yet, Fincher stated that he is willing to take on the project if Christian Bale agrees on playing the lead role. Bale has yet to be contacted about the possible role, but due to his undeniable resemblance to Steve Jobs, he has been reported to be the first choice.

While Steve Jobs is a long way from Batman, Bale has been considered a prime contender to play the tech superhero since the project was first announced due to his physical resemblance to the Apple co-founder. Bale has not been approached to play Jobs yet, as the actor is taking a step away from the business to spend time with his family now that he has wrapped the role of Moses in Ridley Scottís "Exodus," which is expected to have him back in the awards conversation after "American Hustle."
David Fincher, who may potentially direct the currently unnamed biopic is the same director behind The Social Network, which is another Silicon Valley-based film that won three Academy Awards and was nominated for five more. As of right now, Sorkin has completed the script for the upcoming Jobs movie and the film is currently set to take place across three 30-minute scenes that take place during three different product launches led by Jobs.

There is no set launch date for the movie just yet and is still in the casting stages for all the roles. Weíll have to wait for further announcements.
