Default WSJ: Apple Gearing Up for Aggressive New Product Release Schedule

Apple is getting its ducks in a row to prepare for what the Wall Street Journal suggests will be a more aggressive product release schedule (including new products in new product categories) this year and well into the future.

For now, most of Apple's preparatory efforts are focused on Asia, where the supply and manufacturing channels will be heavily depended upon for the anticipated production push. To make it happen, Apple is dramatically escalating hiring, putting new talent in new positions across Asia to ensure that emerging markets have access to all the Apple products they could ever desire.

"Apple is hiring hundreds of new engineers and supply-chain managers in China and Taiwan as it attempts to speed up product development and launch a wider range of devices," today's report reads. "People familiar with the matter said the Cupertino, Calif., company is hiring engineers from rival smartphone maker HTC Corp. and other Taiwanese tech firms to build up teams in Shanghai and Taipei."

In essence, it's more of the same from Apple. In recent years, Apple has added hundreds of employees to the payroll in Asia. The same sources tell the WSJ that the total number of Apple engineers and operations staff in China now exceeds 600. All told, these labor resources will be vitally important to Apple as it presumably builds new Apple TVs, smartwatches, and new generations of longstanding products like iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

lol. They never said Apple isn't doomed though. They save that until they release the product and it doesn't sell to their "expected" numbers.

Oh yeah...set the bar high to show failure haha! On a serious note, I'd like to see Apple mix it up and maybe enter a market they are not known for in the past. They have nothing but profits in the bank..lets get risky haha!
