    But it looks pretty.....innovation complete!
I can agree with you there, I am disappointed with the lack of internal expansion/upgrade. I have the original Mac Pro. I have upgraded the gpu several times, added a ton of storage space, and next are the processors. I can have an 8 core machine for $70 and literally double my geek bench score. There are also ways to install Mountain Lion and Mavericks to "unsupported" machines so for my work I will not be upgrading to a new desktop for a long time.

To bad he couldn't do that to Next.

    Clear as mud.

Why should the iphone and i pads lag behind in processing power ram and that punch that hits like a heavyweight champ ready to make others struggle to keep up. When the iphone came out apple was on top, now apple is trying to keep up and continue to be relivant.

More power and more ram = shorter battery life. Apple has built a very efficient OS that doesn't require all that horsepower to run smoothly and the devices, since only Apple makes them maximize the OS's functionality. A large truck could have 500bhp but it's heavy and not aerodynamic so it's slow. Put the same 500bhp in something designed better and designed to use that 500bhp efficiently and it will do 0-60 in 3.4sec.

bhp on a truck is not what's needed, it's the high torque that gets the truck moving

Edit: most trucks have around the amount of bhp you stated and it's required to keep the truck moving, so your point is moot

I think you missed my point entirely. You actually are re-enforcing my point.

    You're missing the point here

I think comparing iPhones to vehicles, is like comparing trees with man made materials it's irrelevant and pointless

That's fine that you think that, but I am comparing brute force to efficiency.

the iPhone is losing it's efficiency, there is the efficiency you're talking about and the efficiency to sell products, the latter is starting to slip

I agree. But if you go back to my original quoted comment, the poster was talking about more processing power and more ram. However their sales are still producing record numbers.

Thin smartphones with 4.7 inch screens have already been introduced. You actually have to be to the first one to create it to "innovate".
