Default So should I go ahead and try and jailbreak AGAIN?
Well my last attempt at trying to jailbreak on 4.3.3 using redsn0w resulted in my ipod becoming bricked I think. It turned off and wouldn't turn back on with the power button. So I had to hold the power and home button to turn it on. Should I go ahead and try again or what? I don't want to destroy my ipod!

    You won't hurt it.

So, you have 4.3.3 installed and running successfully now?

    Mac or Windows?

Are you running the latest version of redsn0w?

    What gen iPod is this?

Do you have TinyUmbrella? If so use that to get your ipod into DFU mode then close TinyUmbrella and run redsn0w. Just be sure you are selecting the exact firmware you restored to. It take a while to complete too so be patient.

I have a iPod touch 4G. I've never used Tiny Umbrella before. I don't even know what it is. Should I just go ahead and try redsn0w again?

It won't hurt anything to try again. The only box you want checked is "install cydia" The trickiest part is getting your device into dfu mode.

    Just remember

    Hold power for 3 seconds
Without releasing the power, hold the home button for 10 seconds
Then, without releasing the home button, release the power button and hold for up to 15 seconds

Yea I'll try again tonight and let you know what happens. I think I just screwed up on the DFU mode part.

Well I tried again and got the same results. Did the whole DFU mode process, screen flickered quick, and then stayed off. I know that some sort of a hard drive is supposed to appear on the screen while jailbreaking and that doesn't happen to mine. It just turns off and stays off. Then it says on the computer "Waiting to reboot" but nothing ever happens.

You are gonna be happy! If you are on 4.3.3 and iPod touch 4g, go to jailbreakme.com and install cydia from your iPods browser. No dfu no nothing just two taps of free and install directly
    On
Your iPod! Hope this helped an remembered 4.3.3 is compatible firmware.
