Thread: DFU restore is my only option, and that doesn't even work

Default DFU restore is my only option, and that doesn't even work
I was running an older firmware (2.-something) and jailbroken. All I wanted to do was update to 3.1.2 and re-jailbreak the ipod.
I downloaded the 3.1.2 file from felixbruns and restored in itunes using that file.
Countless attempts later, using firmwares 2.1.1, 2.2.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and even iOS4, and i still receive an error in itunes during the restore.
Now, My ipod WILL NOT turn on, aside from DFU mode. No regular recovery mode.

At this point I don't even care about being jailbroken. All I want is my ipod to work the way it should rather than being a paperweight.

    Any advice is helpful
    Thanks

I read that from my position, restoring to 3.1.3 is my best bet. I tried this and ended with error 3194. If that helps any..

Anybody out there have any help? I'm getting sick of not having music lol
