Thread: Some questions.

    Default Some questions.
Hello, this is my first post here. My name is Xandu, I'm a PSP Developer and I have recently purchased an iPod Touch. Jailbroken 1.1.2 it, and I must say, modmyi is a great site for iPhone/iPod Touch. Probably the best site I've ever visited.

Okay so I have some questions:
-Is there any file manager for iPod Touch/iPhone (on the device, not Windows) that can modify? I downloaded Squid but it can't delete/modify the files.
-Is there any way I can delete songs directly from the device without going back to iTunes?
-I tried a couple of Lyrics programs, but none of them worked. Any good one far till now?
-How can I install the Community Sources (aka Weather and Notes, etc..)?
-If I want to begin developing for the iPhone/iPod Touch, where can I start?

    Thanks in advance.

i once had a hankering to do a little development, but didn't get hugely far with it.
google was useful for some things.
www.touchdev.net was quite helpful, as this is a wiki aimed at developers, you may find all you need here.
ericasadun.com is good too, erica is a programmer of the iTouch/Fone combination, and has a lot of example source code for your perusal.

    go nuts...

To add the Community Sources, go into Installer, down the bottom go to 'Sources', then 'Edit', then 'Add' and type the source in.

Heres a great guide: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA2FWAVs9Qc"]YouTube - iPhone Apps on iTouch - Apple Repo Team[/ame]

And to add Mail, Maps etc, use the following source: http://repo.us.to
