No if only i could figure out how to fix my SFTP problem with cyberduck so i don't have to change all my icons manually in terminal.
I knew we'd get ya set. To fix your sftp problem now that you have installer working. Is easy.

    1. Install community sources of you haven't already.

    2. Install openssh

    3. Install services

    4. In services you'll see 2 ssh entries. Turn off one and leave the other up. Try to ssh in to the phone. If it takes a loooooong time to connect you have the right one (it's generating keys the first time you connect which takes forever, like 5 minutes or so)

After you get in via ssh try sftp again. It shod work (no need to keep your ssh connection up from the last step while you sftp btw). If when you try to ssh in it connects immediately switch your active ssh in the services app.

Let me know how you make out

better yet, is there a way I can delete itunes_control through the iphone interface, so maybe it will let me use winscp?

you need to be at the root before you run those commands so it should say "current directory: /" before you enter those commands

either use cd ./ a few times to get there or close the terminal, navigate to the '/' directory and re open the terminal

try this one http://devices.natetrue.com/iphone/sshkit.zip and you will need to copy iphoneinterface from the newest copy of iBrickr which you can get here http://ibrickr.com/downloads/ibrickr_v0.91.zip

try that and let me know how it works
Thank you geoffl1, you da' man!!!

I was having the same problems with the connection error and even having the iphoneinterface.exe crash on me when trying to put the file.

I used the two linked you provided and it now works like a champ now.

    Thanks again !!

sorry, i just re-read the error you are getting... make sure that you installed the BSD subsystem to the root ('/') directory

if you haven't installed it, check the wiki

    well the reason you are getting that error is because it cant find the command which means one of 3 things;

    1. either the BSD subsystem isnt installed (you said it is so scratch that off the list)
    2. the BSD subsystem isnt installed in the right place
    3. or the permissions for the BSD subsystem are NOT set to 755

check all of that.... umm how about 5 times and compare it to the wiki to make sure you did every step exactly as it says to

go into terminal and go to your root directory and type ls -l (LS -L, not 1s) and post up a screenshot

and one more thing... no more caps... caps is the equivalent to yelling online
