Default The Apple Watch App Store is Now Open for Business

The Apple Watch App Store is now open for business and those running iOS 8.2 or later can visit the Apple Watch application on their Home Screen and tap on the "App Store" tab on the bottom right of the application to access the Apple Watch section in the App Store, as shown above.

The new App Store focuses primarily on applications that have been made to be compatible with the Apple Watch.

Among the applications that are being featured on the front page of the Apple Watch App Store are:

    • Twitter
    • NYTimes
    • Nike+ Running
    • Instagram
    • Yelp
    • Target
    • Uber
    • Amazon
    • Evernote
    • Keynote
    • SoundHound
    • WebMD
    • Trivia Crack
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • CNN
    • Wall Street Journal
    • Flipboard
    • Things
    • OmniFocus 2
    • ESPN
    • Foursquare
    • And many, many more

The applications all come with screenshots tailored for the Apple Watch so you can see what they look like. They vary from free to paid, and if you already own an iPhone or iPad version of an application, you own the Apple Watch version too already.

    Check it out!

I find it strange that Shazam, which Siri uses, is not listed.

I should've been more clear. Finish my sentence with "in this article".

This is what is going to set the iWatch apart from the rest.
Functionality, it's not only nice to have a cool looking watch, but what can you do with it. It sure looks like this is the area, most (if not all) are going to fall short it. It's the software support that completes the iOS experience.

I just love having the tap on the wrist when I have a notification and being able to simply swipe through information without pulling my cased iPhone out of my pocket... especially when the rubberized case gets all caught on my shorts' pocket. What makes it even worse is when you have a text-happy friend and have to do this over and over. Now it's just simple... answer on your Watch and leave your phone alone.

The App Store software for the Apple Watch is blowing the competition out of the water so far and I think it will continue to do so. It looks the best out of any wearable I've seen so far, and functions fluidly.
