Default 'HiddenConvos Pro' is the Ultimate Way to Secure Your Text Message & iMessage Chats

Approximately five weeks ago, we showed you a free jailbreak tweak called HiddenConvos by iOS developer TheNinjaprawn that allowed you to hide conversation threads from the Messages application, whether they were text message conversations or iMessage conversations, so that you could keep them out of the eyes or those that you don't want being able to see them.

For those that demanded more, the developer has officially responded with a Pro version of HiddenConvos. Available in Cydia starting today, HiddenConvos Pro brings you the ultimate privacy experience in your Messages application for hiding any conversation that you like with plenty of new features that the free version didn't include.

The new options that the Pro version comes with that aren't a part of the free version include:

    • Preferences bundle right in the Messages app for easy customizing
    • No app restart required when changing features
    • Preference bundle is secured via either Touch ID or passcode
    • Customize color of hide button
    • Added swipe right (no menu) or long press to hide a conversation
    • Un-hide and Un-mute/mute conversation, or un-hide all
When you install this tweak, you'll find a new preferences pane that is bundled right into the Messages application where you can configure your various features. Shown below, you can see the preferences pane and the options you can configure:

    Your options here include:

    • Enabling or disabling the tweak on demand
    • Configuring a gesture that is used to hide or un-hide all conversations
    • The ability to see all of your hidden conversations and choosing what to do with them on an individual basis
    • The ability to protect your HiddenConvos Pro preferences pane with a passcode or Touch ID

If you wanted a step up from the original HiddenConvos, then HiddenConvos Pro has you covered. It's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for a humble $1.50. All devices running iOS 8.0 or later are supported.

    Name: HiddenConvos Pro
    Price: $1.50
    Version: 1.0-1
    Requirements: iOS 8.0-8.1.2
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: TheNinjaprawn

iBlacklist does it better , in a sense that it blocks text and iMessages and at the same time unwanted calls or callers ! all under one roof

I think you missed the point. It does not block callers. You can hide a message thread if you want. Iblacklist does not do that.

message thread is messages between you and another person , not so ?

iblacklist does that comfortably for sms (thats text messages) and iMessages.

on top of that you have the extra capabilities of blocking calls and even when you call that person, it hides the call out info.

The idea is if you are planning to hide texts from someone then most likely you also want to hide the phone part, not all the time but most of the time.

I have been using Iblacklist since the first jailbreak. With Iblacklist you have to block the person first who's messages you're trying to hide. Than you have to get into Iblacklist history to view the blocked messages. The end result essentially the same which is that you won't see a message. But it's a work around and has nothing to do with this tweak. Anyway. I'm not in any way trying to get into it with you.
