Default How to Change the Colors of Your Large Tethering, In-call, and Recording Status Bars

Whenever your device is recording something, in the middle of a phone/FaceTime call, or tethering its data away to other devices, you'll notice that the Status Bar grows to twice its size and is colored to a specific eye-catching color so that you can see it and know when something is going on in the background.

Typically, when you're in a phone call, the Status Bar turns green when you exit the Phone/FaceTime application, the Status Bar turns red when your microphone is recording sound, and the Status Bar turns light blue when you're tethering your data with another device. These are all the stock colors and can become very boring, if you know what we mean.

A new free jailbreak tweak called Fairydust by iOS developer CP Digital Darkroom is now available in Cydia that will make it so they don't have to be so boring anymore. With this tweak, you can configure your own colors for each of the different types of double-sized Status Bars so that the colors fit your tastes.

Added to the Settings application after being installed is a new preferences pane for Fairydust, which we've included screenshots of for you below:

Here, you can configure the colors of the Status Bar when you're tethering your data, in a call, navigating with GPS, and recording audio with your device. The tweak has a fully-featured color-picker so that you can pick literally any color that you want for each item.

If you want to give Fairydust a try, you'll find it free of cost in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now. The tweak works on iOS 8 devices and may work on iOS 7 devices too.

    Name: Fairydust

    Requirements: iOS 8.0-8.1.2
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 8.1.2

The only one that I remember is DietBar, but it stopped support after iOS 6.
