Default 'CustomStatusBar' Lets You Hide/Show Any Status Bar Items for Free

If you want to hide items from your Status Bar for a cleaner look, but aren't interested in shelling out the cash for a paid tweak that bundles this functionality with a bunch more functionality, then a simple new and free jailbreak tweak called CustomStatusBar by the Alcove iOS development team could suit your needs quite well.

This tweak is a simple way to hide or show any of your Status Bar elements on demand. You can access the new preferences pane in the Settings application after installation where you can select the items that will be hidden from the Status Bar at all times:

A respring button is included for you to save your changes after choosing things that you wish to hide from the Status Bar.

The developer also tells us that more is coming in a future update; for example, you will be able to move Status Bar items around in any order that you wish. This will be a free update for the already free jailbreak tweak, so it competes pretty well with those paid alternatives out there, or so it will.

If you're interested in giving CustomStatusBar a try, it's available completely free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak requires iOS 8 to be installed and used.

I'm using springtomize to hide my battery and lightning bolt. Is there an app to hide the battery but still show the lightning bolt while charging?
