In an official announcement on Thursday, Skype announced improvements for both its Skype for iPhone application, and its Skype Quik application for iOS.

Skype Quik has been updated to version 1.5.0 with all-new effects that allow users to express themselves in their videos. They are easy to use and to navigate to by using the magic wand button from the Skype Quik application interface:

In terms of the Skype for iPhone application for iOS, Skype has announced support for 12 new languages across the board in an update coming later this week, including:

  • Croatian

Although the Skype for iPhone update isn't out yet, the new Skype Quik application is available for free from this App Store link or via the Updates tab in the App Store application for those that already have it installed. If automatic updates is enabled, these applications will be installed for you automatically.
