If you're not a fan of the new "Moments" section in the iOS Photos application, then the good news is you don't have to use it; you can just tap on the "Albums" tab at the bottom of the photos application to forget all about the Moments section and look at the Photos application as you always have; with organized albums that keep your photos in check just how you've known and loved since the early iOS days.

But for some, that's not enough of a permanent solution, and many have installed lordscotland's free "Momentless" jailbreak tweak to completely rid the iOS operating system of the "Moments" functionality in the Photos application. Since the tweak is offered from lordscotland's personal repository, we've linked it below for anyone interested so you can add it to Cydia:

PHP Code:
Once the Moments tab is disabled in the Photos application, the bottom tab at the bottom of the Photos application still remains. With Moments disabled, the only tab that appears is "Albums" (unless you have iCloud services enabled for Photos, which many people don't). To get rid of that, basically useless, single tab, you can use a new free jailbreak tweak called NoPhotoTabBar by iOS developer Fletch to 99, as shown above.

The developer recommends using the two tweaks together. It's not recommended that you install NoPhotoTabBar without Momentless if you hate Moments in iOS, because there is always a chance that you could get stuck in Moments in the Photos application and find no way to get to the Albums view because there won't be a navigation tab at the bottom of the display. So if you like Albums and hate Moments, it's recommended you install both tweaks together, as they are made to work together.

If you're interested in giving NoPhotoTabBar a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now. The tweak works on iOS 8.
