Default Here Are Five More Awesome iOS 8 Notification Center Widgets You Can Get Today!

Just a few days ago, we showed you five awesome applications from the iOS App Store that come with an iOS 8-compatible Notification Center widget for the Today tab. Many of our readers requested a part two to the post for even more useful Notification Center widgets for iOS 8 due to the fact that the iOS App Store doesn't do a good enough job of helping with application discovery; and that's why we're following up with part two!

In this post, we will be showing you an additional five handy Notification Center widgets for iOS 8 that can be downloaded from the iOS App Store. They may not be the best of the best, but this post's intent is to shed some light on some potentially useful widgets that some of you could take advantage of in your daily lives.

Note: these are legitimate App Store Notification Center widgets, so therefore, please don't expect to see any jailbreak widgets in this post.

Without further ado, check them out:

    1. Level Money

Level Money is a handy application for those of you that need to track your finances. The application integrates with various banks, including Discover, PayPal, Bank of America, American Express, Capital One, Chase, Ally Financial, Citibank, and Wells Fargo.

It's very useful to see an overview of your income and expenses because it can help you decide to make purchases more responsibly instead of just for the heck of it. The application itself keeps a much more detailed report of all of the purchases occur and income that comes in with detailed company information and more. Because of all of the support for the various kinds of banks, this is an application that could work for various users, and best of all, it's completely free.

Level Money is FREE in the iOS App Store and requires iOS 7 to be installed, although iOS 8 is required to take advantage of the Notification Center widget. You can download it from this App Store link.

    2. Foursquare

Another one that comes in handy in a pinch is Foursquare. The application was recently updated with a new Notification Center widget that lets you easily look for locations that you can have a good time. Although you do have to be signed into Foursquare to use the widget, you can search for restaurants, coffee joints, bars, and more based on your current location.

The widget comes in handy when you want a quick interface for finding something specific based on your location, such as if you're in a location you're not familiar with and you're feeling a bit hungry, or you want to find some entertainment close by. The widget is incredibly easy to use and it's well executed; best of all, you can download it for free!

Foursquare is FREE in the iOS App Store and requires iOS 7 to be installed, although iOS 8 is required to take advantage of the Notification Center widget. You can download it from this App Store link.

    3. CBS Sports

The sports fanatics out there will find CBS Sports to be a handy way to keep track of their favorite teams. It comes with a Notification Center widget for the Today tab in iOS 8 that displays scores from the teams that you choose. You can configure the teams that you do and don't want to see scores from, from just about any of the major sports out there (NFL, MLB, NHL, and much more).

The widget keeps a running list of score results that is updated as new scores are released for teams. If you're at work, or unable to actually watch your sports, this is a great way to keep track of the numbers yourself. With the number of supported sports and teams, this widget makes a reliable way to keep track of almost anything sports-related. And again... completely free to you!

CBS Sports is FREE in the iOS App Store and requires iOS 7 to be installed, although iOS 8 is required to take advantage of the Notification Center widget. You can download it from this App Store link.

    4. Pedometer++

For those trying to lead a healthy lifestyle, Pedometer++ is a useful application that can keep track of your steps. It uses the motion activity of your device to determine how many steps you take on a daily or weekly basis. The application adds a Notification Center widget to the Today tab in the Notification Center in iOS 8 that shows you your step count in real time and estimates the distance traveled.

It's great for anyone that wants to keep track of their movement throughout their exercises. The application itself even shows you what days you walked the most, which is handy for knowing when you're slouching and when you're working hard. The quick widget in Notification Center is a convenient way to not only keep track of your exercise, but also to try and tease you to go a little further. And on top of everything, would you believe us if we told you that Pedometer++ was completely free?!

Pedometer++ is FREE in the iOS App Store and requires an iPhone 5s or later running iOS 8 to be installed. You can download it from this App Store link.

    5. Currenci

And last on our list is Currenci, an application that those of you dealing with both foreign and domestic currency will find useful on a daily basis. This application lets you keep track of the value of various currencies around the world and lets you compare them to other currencies around the world. For example, if you want to know how much Euros a U.S. dollar is worth, then this application is for you. You can add and remove as many currency types as you want to the application, and it comes with a Notification Center widget that keeps track of values and even convert values.

If you're dealing with currency types on a daily basis, for example if you're buying from online stores, then this widget will be your best friend. It not only shows you your two favorite currencies in the widget, but you can perform calculations between the two currencies by tapping on either of the currencies to enter a custom amount. It's has a very simple user interface and you'll have no problems figuring out how to operate it. Oh and... yeah, this one's free too!

I really love this new post group. I love seeing some widgets because no apps really advertise it and it's always cool to see some ones I can actually use.
