On Thursday, ESPN updated its application for the iOS platform with a brand-new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus-friendly look and feel. The all-new application has been given the version number 4.2 and is available in the App Store right now for free they've also changed the name of the application from ESPN SportsCenter to just ESPN.

ESPN allows sports fans to keep track of the latest sports news and track their favorite teams. The all-new look and feel does away with the solid white interface and gives the application a bold red navigation bar and some better design qualities all around. The application has also been given a brand-new application icon for the Home Screen.

Also new in this update, the application now fully supports the larger canvas space of the iPad in addition to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The new user interface looks great on the larger displays, no matter what device you're using now. iPad users have the ability to see scores and news at the same time.

A new feature in the application called ESPN Now makes it so that you can swipe right from the news section to see all of the most up-to-date photos, videos, and other social media content having to do with your favorite sports. Plenty of bug fixes and performance improvements are also existent in this update.

If you're an existing user of EPSN SportsCenter for iOS, then you will find the new EPSN application for iOS under the Updates tab in the App Store application.
