Twitter has announced on its Web site that it is adding tow major new features to its mobile application on the iOS platform. The features will be rolling out to users over the next few weeks, so you'll have to keep your eyes peeled for them.

One of the two new features is the ability to edit your videos that you shoot before you go sharing them to your friends and followers on Twitter. The images above highlight the new features that are coming; after you're done shooting, you can then edit your clips by removing what you don't want and re-arranging the clips so that they're just what you want before sharing.

The other major new features that is coming is the ability to take advantage of group direct messaging, which Twitter outlines in the teaser images below:

The improvements to direct messaging allow you to direct message Tweets that interest you, direct message people that aren't even following you, and even initiate group conversations so that more than one person can see what you're messaging at once.

Twitter also has a demo video of its group direct messaging feature below:

While the features are rolling out at this point in time, you may not have access to them for a while. In the mean time, you can make sure you have the latest version of Twitter for free from this App Store link.
