Default 'NCIfNeeded' Adds a Logical Twist to Notification Center in iOS 8

NCIfNeeded is a brilliant new free jailbreak tweak for iOS 8 by iOS developer Jay Zuerndorfer that adds a logical twist to Notification Center.

The tweak makes it so that if you have any pending notifications, Notification Center will open to the Notifications tab when you try to open it. If you don't have any pending notifications, then Notification Center will open to the Today tab when you try to open it. Of course, you can still switch between either of the two views on demand by simply tapping on the buttons at the top of the Notification Center interface.

In all, this is a very subtle jailbreak tweak with a very genius idea that we think Apple needs to implement with iOS out of the box. It's a change that you won't actually realize is happening because it automatically feels like it should be a part of iOS.

Once you try it, you'll realize what a great idea it is. NCIfNeeded doesn't come with any options to configure and it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak requires iOS 8 to be installed. The developer has also made the source code for this tweak open source, so you can view what makes the tweak tick via this link on GitHub.

Love it! This is the way Notification Center should work.

I have to agree, wonder how long until a Apple "invents" this functionality...
