Default Xiaomi Unveils New 2015 Flagship Device

Just a few days ago, we reported that Chinese phone maker Xiaomi decided to tell its customers not to purchase counterfeit Xiaomi devices. But today, the company decided to unveil its new 2015 flagship device called the Note. We can’t say we’re surprised, maybe now the company is looking to combine Samsung and iPhone devices to call their own. This device is apparently a brand new device that has no relation to the company’s ‘Redmi Note’.

Xiaomi’s new 2015 flagship device is bigger than Apple’s current iPhone 6 Plus device, coming in at 5.7-inches. The Note is apparently a direct competitor to Apple’s 5.5-inch phablet. It will be sporting a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 4-megapixel front facing camera, and a 1080p display. It was noted by the International Business Times that the rear camera of the Note will not have a protruding camera bump like Apple’s iPhone 6 lineup.

The new smartphone will have a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 3,000 mAh battery, and run MIU on Android. Xiaomi’s Note will be available in 16GB as well as 64GB, just like Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphones. It was noted that the company will also be making a Note ‘Pro’ version, which is supposed to be more powerful as well. The smaller device is said to cost RMB 2,299 (approximately $372 USD) for the 16GB version and RMB 2,799 (approximately $453 USD) for the 64GB. As for the ‘pro,’ it will reportedly cost RMB 3,299 (approximately $534 USD).

Is it just me or does that "Note" look like a Galaxy Note? I know it's supposed to be a Android OS, but it looks like Apples OS right down to the Apps in folders.
