Default 'SphereView' is a New 3-D Sphere-styled Home Screen for iOS

SphereView is a cool new take on the iOS Home Screen by iOS developer va2ron1. The tweak, shown above, puts a spherical twist on the Home Screen, rather than a flat, page-by-page Home Screen.

As you would expect, you can scrub through the sphere by just tapping and dragging. Additionally, you can zoom in or out by pinching in or out with two fingers. The tweak also includes a special dock, which can be enabled or disabled at any time, on the bottom of the Home Screen that only includes applications that have notifications. Additionally, SphereView works in both landscape and portrait orientation.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure a number of the tweak's options to your liking:

Here, you have the following options:

    • Enabling or disabling the tweak on demand
    • Having normal or rounded application icons
    • Hiding or showing application icon labels
    • Enabling or disabling the dock for notification apps
    • Configuring views for the tweak
    • Configuring blur for the tweak

The tweak works exceptionally well without lagging and surprisingly, it's still extremely simple to launch applications from the sphere view. If you're interested in giving SphereView a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for $3.99 right now. The tweak works on iPhones, iPod touches, AND iPads running iOS 8.

$4.00 sounds pricey for a tweak but I hope he sells some cuz it looks like a good idea 😳

I just purchased it but cannot get the notification dock to work for some reason. A bit disappointing. Also, it make is hard for you to find your apps. For me, this is more of eye candy than a useful tweak.
