Default 'IDBox' Lets You Have Multiple Apple ID Accounts on Your iOS Device(s) At Once

Whether you're using a family-oriented iOS device, or you want to have multiple Apple IDs for different countries since some application developers soft-launch applications in certain countries before the U.S. App Store, a new jailbreak tweak called IDBox by iOS developer ioodo may be of interest to you.

IDBox allows you to have multiple Apple IDs stored on your iOS device at one time. You can then easily switch between the active Apple ID from the IDBox preferences pane. When you switch to a different Apple ID, it becomes the main Apple ID of the device each and every time you attempt to make App Store purchases. When you switch it again to another Apple ID, then the newly-selected Apple ID becomes the main Apple ID of the device when you attempt to make App Store purchases.

IDBox adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure the tweak's options:

From here, you can add and edit your Apple IDs to the list. The one that shows the check mark to the right of it is the currently-active Apple ID on the device. You can switch over to any of them in the list that you want to and the check mark will move to that Apple ID.

If you're using an Apple ID from the App Store in a different country, the tweak can also automatically switch the language of the App Store to the language specified by the Apple ID if you enable that option.

IDBox is a free download from Cydia's BigBoss repository, although after downloading the tweak, you will need to purchase a license for the tweak for $1.49. The license is good for up to three of your iOS devices these licenses are transferable. IDBox works on both iOS 7 and iOS 8. Check it out!

How does this affect the use of apps installed by the ID you aren't logged into?

You can always sign out of your Apple ID and into another Apple ID and you can still use the applications that are installed on your device even if they weren't purchased by the account you're logged into.

How does this work if you have iTunes gift cards? It doesn't let me log out if I have gift credit.

    ......beware......
