Default 'MyBatteryAlerts' Gives You More Powerful Options for Low Battery Alerts in iOS

Many iOS users are like hawks when it comes to watching their battery life, and that's why so many battery tweaks in Cydia have become so popular over the years. Yet another jailbreak tweak has made it to Cydia on Friday called MyBatteryAlerts, by iOS developer Rabih M, and we suspect that this one is on the road to becoming pretty popular too!

MyBatteryAlerts will let you take full control over the battery alerts that you get on a regular basis when your battery level starts getting low. With all of the powerful options that the tweak gives you, and the new features that you can take advantage of, this tweak is going to make you actually love your iOS device when it has low a battery percentage left.

For example, if you choose, you can move over to a banner-style alert instead of a pop-up style alert when you have a low battery percentage remaining. If you choose to stay with the pop-up style alert instead of a banner-style alert, then you can have the pop-up become more useful, rather than just having a button you can tap on to dismiss the alert. For example, shown above, you can see that you can make the alert message include toggles for saving battery life and even show you battery usage details.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure its options in depth:

Options that you can configure here include, but are not limited to:

    • Enabling and disabling the tweak on demand
    • Choosing between pop-up alert-style, banner alert-style, or no notifications for battery alerts
    • Enable or disable "Battery Usage" in the pop-up alert style notification
    • Enable or disable a Brightness slider in the pop-up alert style notification
    • Enable or disable toggles in the pop-up alert style notification
    • Configure the toggles you want to appear there
    • Enable or disable a custom title and message in the pop-up alert style notification
    • Configure the custom title and message you want to appear there
    • Configure a tap action for banner alert-style notifications if you chose that style
    • Configure a custom title and message for banner alert-style notifications
    • Configure an activation method for forcing a notification to show with your current battery information

Overall, this feels like a five-star battery tweak that's hard not to recommend to those of you that keep avid track of your battery life. If you're interested in giving the tweak a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for 99. The tweak works on all iOS 7 and iOS 8 iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads.

Is there an option for custom ringtones used for the alerts? Because that is the only way i would ever purchase this tweak.
