Default Auxo 3 for iOS 8 is Now Officially Live in the Cydia Store, Go and Get it!

Via Twitter, @Sentry_NC has been teasing the release of Auxo 3 for iOS 8 for well over two weeks. For those that aren't familiar with Auxo, it's a wonderful App Switcher replacement for iOS that makes productivity better and improves the usability of several iOS functions.

As of Wednesday, Christmas Eve morning, Auxo 3 is officially available in Cydia to download. The much-awaited jailbreak tweak is available for $2.99 for new purchasers, and is only a 99˘ upgrade for those that own Auxo 2 already.

Auxo 3 combines Control Center with the multitasking App Switcher at its core, and also offers other features, such as Hot Corners and the Quick Switcher. The Hot Corners offer quick multitasking gestures, while the QuickSwitcher is just a quick way to pounce from one application you have running in the background to another application you have running in the background.

Auxo 3 will add a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can set it up the way you want to use it:

Here, you can enable or disable the Auxo 3 App Switcher, enable or disable Hot Corners, enable or disable the Quick Switcher, and even configure some advanced options.

From the advanced options, you will find all of the following options:

The options include a reachable display, which is perfect for users of the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, a minimal display, which keeps everything tidy-looking, options for appearance, options for functionality, and an application blacklist so that you can control the applications that Auxo 3 is disabled in in order to prevent conflict.

Auxo 3 has numerous new features, which are highlighted in the change log below:

    • Tapping the icon in the middle of the circular sliders let’s you perform an action; either toggle auto-brightness/ringer, or simply quickly set a slider to minimum.
    • In addition to sliding down on an app card to expand, you can also slide on the main app icon, or anywhere beneath the icon in the empty space (more reachable).
    • Smoother and quick flick gesture recognizer for MC, in additional to dynamic sliding.
&bull More organic Quick-Switcher that tracks your finger vertically as well, in order to allow you to see the app icon and gives more lee-way when sliding.
    • Inverted hot corners allows you to still use Quick Switcher (from the right corner) if you so choose.
    • You can access the home screen via the Quick Switcher if you move right then back left to slide over to it.
    • Reachable display mode that places toggles on the bottom, for easier one-handed use (especially on the new devices).
    • Slider indicator icons are change subtly to represent the slider value.
On a side note, Auxo 3 is also fully-compatible with the popular Polus jailbreak tweak too!

If you want to get your hands on Auxo 3 for iOS 8, then head over to Cydia's BigBoss repository right now! The tweak is only for iOS 8, as Auxo 2 is available for iOS 7 users.

Two totally different tweaks with some minor similarities. Both let you swipe up to activate switcher and swipe out of apps. But Auxo integrates Control Center into switcher and adds some media controls as well as a few other features. Archer and Tage allow you to swipe out of apps to close them, swipe up to activate switcher, and adds multitasking gestures to swipe back and forth through apps.

Personally i like Archer and Tage better than Auxo. Auxo just seemed laggy to me when i used it last. And i was using a 5s.

I don't remember if CCToggles did this, but I really like modifying the bottom shelf too. I thought CCToggles did, but maybe I'm just thinking of the FlipControlCenter like I have right now.

That's strange... I've never had lag and I had an iPod.

Have never seen the need for Auxo. I'm using gridswitcher with Slide2kill 8 and it couldn't be better FOR ME

I love both archer and auxo, but when it comes to quick gestures auxo is miles ahead. Archer doesn't respond all the time swiping from the bottom left. Both kill off the camera short cut on the lockscreen too.
