When you're using Reachability on your Reachability-supported iOS 8 device, the top half of the screen is just empty. iOS developers in the jailbreak community have been thinking of ways to make use of that empty space and fill it with useful information so that while you're using the feature, you can kind of get a glimpse of something else too.

We recently showed you ReachWeather, which put the weather information in that empty void at the top of the Reachability interface, but iOS developer Mohamed Marbouh might have an even better idea up his sleeve with a new jailbreak tweak called Carpe Diem.

Carpe Diem makes it so that you can put a Notification Center Today widget from iOS 8 into the empty void. You can use any of the stock widgets that come with iOS 8, you can use a third-party widget from your favorite application, and you can even use WeeLoader plug-ins from Cydia, as shown above.

As you can also see from the screenshot above, the preferences pane for the tweak in the Settings application lets you select the widget that you want to use for Carpe Diem. You can easily pick from the list by simply tapping, and the one that shows the check mark is the one that is selected. A "toggle Reachability" button is also included here so you can see a test of the widget you pick.

Carpe Diem works with all Reachability-enabled iOS 8 devices. You can also use it with a non-supported device running the ReachAll hack.

If you're interested in giving Carpe Diem a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for 99.
