I had problems with Pangu JB on my iPhone 6 Plus as well. I restored to iOS 8.1.1 then JB with Taig. Im glad I did it, my 6+ has no problems and is very responsive and the battery consumption is fine. I hate the whole process too, but is worth it. I also did it as a new iPhone setup.

I'm still on 8.1 but want to upgrade to 8.1.1 but only if it's better than 8.1.

iOS 8.1.1 only offers marginal improvements over iOS 8.1, including a fixed memory leak and improved storage management on top of the well-known improvements to the iPhone 4s and iPad 2.

Unless you're experiencing issues, there's no reason to jump. But if you're O.C.D. and just want to just because, there's no reason not to either.

My phone was acting really weird so I rebooted it and I was faced with a blinking screen with the apple logo. I upgraded to 8.1.1 and re-jail role with TaiG and now my phone won't back up to iTunes. I keep getting a message saying to delete any old backups because they are corrupt and I already have done that.

Restore, setup as new, jailbreak and than manually return all your Apps back over iTunes.
