Default 'UpNext' Allows You to Queue Songs in the Music App in iOS 8

If you want to have the ability to queue songs in the Music application in iOS 8 like you can in iTunes on the Mac, then you need a new jailbreak tweak called UpNext by iOS developer Hamza Sood.

Shown above, UpNext gives you the ability to choose what music is going to play next whenever you're listening to songs in the iOS 8 music application. It's also fully compatible with iOS 8.1, which is a huge plus, considering Saurik's Cyueue tweak is not.

When you swipe to the left on a song, not only are you presented with the usual "Delete" button, but you're also presented with a "Play Next" button and a "Queue" button. The Queue button places the song in question next up in the current list of songs that you have begun to make, and will force the song to play in the specific order that you place them. The Play Next button, on the other hand, ensures that the song in question will absolutely play next after what is already playing. In short one button adds the song to the beginning of the queue, while the other adds the song to the end of the queue.

As you can see from the middle screenshot, you can also manage your queue. You can access this interface from the button at the top right of the Now Playing interface in the Music application. From here, you will be able to rearrange song order, skip to a song in the queue, and even remove songs.

From the right screenshot, you can see that the tweak also adds a widget to the Today tab in the Notification Center so that you can actively see your queue. This widget is, of course, optional and you can enable or disable it on demand. When you have no queue, the widget automatically hides itself from view to save space in Notification Center.

This is a very cool jailbreak tweak for those that use the Music application on their iOS 8 devices, so if you want to give it a try, UpNext is available for just $1.49 in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now. The tweak is intended only for the stock Music application and does not work with third-party music applications like Spotify and Rdio.

Just to be sure, there was an old tweak that whenever you added a queue it would create a playlist called Queue that you would then have to delete when you were done. It also wouldn't continue playing anything after the queue was done. Does this tweak do either of those?

It does not create a playlist. Nothing to delete when you're done.

When the queue is done, it resumes playing where you left off in your playlist/music.

Also, if you tap on a song in the NC widget, it moves to playing that song.

    Slick tweak.
