Default iTouchSecure for iOS 8 Now Available in Cydia - Makes Password Entering Easy

iTouchSecure by SpiritOfLogic is one of the most exciting jailbreak tweaks that Touch ID users had available to them when the first jailbreak for the iPhone 5s was available. It allowed users to use their fingerprints in order to auto-input their passwords to their favorite Web sites, applications, and more, so that typing them out each and every time wouldn't be necessary.

Good news for the fans of this tweak is that iTouchSecure for iOS 8 is now available in Cydia for those that want to start taking full advantage of Touch ID on their jailbroken iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, or iPad Mini 3.

Some features of the tweak, as noted by the Cydia page description:

    Features:

    • Autofill passwords everywhere
    • Authenticate with Touch ID for any UI Password entry
    • Authenticate with Touch ID for Safari Password Autofill
    • Authenticate with Touch ID for Chrome Password Autofill
    • Authenticate with Touch ID for (any) in-browser Password entry
    • Stores passwords encrypted in local keychain like Apple does
One thing about this tweak update is that it's not a free upgrade for everyone that already own iTouchSecure for iOS 7. Only those that purchased it after 10/1/2014 can download this update for free – those who purchased it earlier, the upgrade price is $2.99. New purchasers will have to shell out $4.99.

In other news, SpiritOfLogic has also just released PhotoAlbums+ for iOS 8, which is also available in Cydia right now as of the latest repository sync!

Not working according to the people on reddit. Stay off on buying it until a confirmed fix.

    From the developer:

    1) beta testers get the iOS 8 version FREE (I have to add their UDIDs with saurik though)
    2) everyone who purchased it past 2014/10/01 gets it FREE (currently that is set to 2014/11/01 which I will ask the repo to change)
    3) for other customers of iTouchSecure the upgrade is $2.99
    4) if you purchased it and it does NOT work after a respring please write me a PM here on reddit, so I can look into your issue
    5) let me give you a quick explanation why it is not for FREE for everyone: iTouchSecure is hooking into some core functions and also into quite complicated webkit stuff to achieve the functionality you know. Apple changes a lot with every new firmware and almost every time (this time too) I have to rewrite all those hooks and make them work with the new environment. This time for example a lot changed in regards of webkit. I have to put in much time and work to achieve that. And I did so this time while also working on Aeternum - in the process pausing my day job/work/university. So if I did not charge something for it I would simply be not able to effort spending the time and work on it...

I normally wouldn't gripe about having to pay again for tweaks, but I'm a little reluctant this time. I purchased this tweak on day one of its release back on iOS7 and it never worked properly. There were very few updates to fix bugs and trying to contact the developer for support was impossible....and so far still is. He just doesn't respond.

I love the idea of this tweak but id hate to pay again when it never worked properly back on iOS 7.

So how does this work? Does this mean that on jailbroken devices, 3rd party cydia apps" can somehow access the touch ID data? Are mods like this safe?

In all honesty, why wouldn't this be a native feature? I can understand Apple's reluctance to incorporate some of the tweaks in Cydia, but I don't see any reason for Apple not to already include this.

It should be. Apple is notorious for giving features small bits at a time.

I hear ya! I have about 15.00 invested in tweaksapp's from last year and developers never updated to 7.1.2 and have yet to update to iOS 8-8.1 yet. Getting tired of investing in tweaks that seem to be popular, but also seem to be 1 time tweaks/app's.

I agree also, every single one of my paid apps required the "upgrade" fee. Well minus PkgBackup this time yet anyway but it doesn't work with iOS 8.1 anyway and they don't even answer any messages so that was a waste also.

I wouldn't mind the charge if the tweak worked and the developer took the time of day to respond to you. But to this day this tweak still doesn't work properly on my 5s running iOS 7. And it had very few updates to actually fix things. So what would make us think this time will be any different?
Apples taste good. PwnApples taste better!

Well, so far, it doesn't work.
    I'm hoping he fixes this.

I use BioLockdown and I have no complaints.

Cydia should add ratings for paid apps so buyers know if the app works or not

this works and i got it before it was here, don't know if it says not optimized for you OS but I still manage to get it to download and it works very well no glitches at all. it says for iOS 8 in cydia just hit changes and it will give you all the new iOS 8 software.

sorry to hear that, yes it didn't really work that well either but for me but it did get better, I notice it was the memory was low or after running allot of apps, it still manage to open the apps thou, it worked more than it didn't for me so that never bothered me and now with the new version for iOS 8 i ended paying for it again 2.99, I don't mind since apple is not yet giving away the option to have all apps function like this, you can take a look at day one diary app that has this option available but that is just only one of them, ascendo datavault is one that is still waiting for apple to give them the ok, I have no idea what is taking so long, but with this tweak it is good enough for me, it works on 8 so far no lagging its all good and does the job

for PhotoAlbums+ for iOS 8, however i also never got a reply, deleted the app all together, but ended up installing it again. lets see what happens this time.

Biolockdown isn't made for passcode protected apps though, is it?
What happens when an app has a password protection or thumbprint ID and you open it with biolockdown, do you have to put in your password or thumbprint again once this opens it?
