Default 'Rise' Brings Multi-touch Support to the iOS 8 Lock Screen

The iOS 8 Lock Screen forces you to use one finger to unlock the Lock Screen. If you want to enable multi-touch so that you can use more than one finger to unlock the iOS 8 Lock Screen, then check out a new free jailbreak tweak called Rise by iOS developer AsD.

The tweak works great for those groggy mornings when you are just way too half-asleep to use a single finger to unlock your iOS 8 device's Lock Screen. Instead, you can just give your Lock Screen a little swipe-like pat with your tired hand in the morning, and it'll unlock. Now you're at your Home Screen with little, lazy effort. Woo!

Rise also makes it easier to disable alarms in the morning. Up to four fingers are supported, but you can use one, two, three, or four fingers.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application, shown above, which allows you to enable or disable the tweak on demand. You will have to respring each time that you make changes to the settings for them to take effect.

Rise works on all iOS 8 devices, so if you want to give it a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository.

I'm getting an error while trying to load the preferences in settings. (iPhone 5S running iOS 8.1)

I really don't see the point or usefulness in this tweak. Why the hell was this a featured post? Slow day?
