The popular Box online storage application for iOS has been given a significant update in the latest version 3.5.0 release in the iOS App Store.

Box, which gives free users 10GB of free online store space when they sign up, now gives iOS 8 users many new features. Among them, are Touch ID support for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 3 users. In addition, the application now includes a Notification Center widget for the Today tab of Notification Center that allows you to view recent documents and create notes.

Box also now gives iOS 8 users the ability to create a favorite documents list, where you can easily store all of your favorites for easy access from anywhere. You'll now be able to search for files within folders in your Box account, access Box bookmarks from your iOS devices, preview password-protected Office and iWork files, and automatically upload photos that you take if you're a Personal Pro or Enterprise user.

The update also squashes a ton of bugs and enhances the stability of the application overall. If you're an existing user of Box for iOS, then this update is available for free right now from the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Box for free from this App Store link.
