Default 'NoAlarmVibrate' Keeps Your iPhone From Vibrating When an Alarm Goes Off

When an alarm goes off on your iPhone, it will not only emit a loud noise, but it will vibrate too. Depending on the way that you have your iPhone sitting on your night stand, the vibration can be enough to make the iPhone shift on the table surface and eventually go crashing down on the ground. Another problem with the vibration is that it creates a disturbing noise that most of us don't want to hear in the morning the mellow sound of a song alone would be so much better.

iPod touch and iPad users don't have this problem, and iPhone owners shouldn't have to either. A new free jailbreak tweak called NoAlarmVobrate by iOS developer magn2o makes it so that whenever you have an alarm go off on your iPhone, it will only make the alarm sound, but won't vibrate.

With this tweak installed, alarms will no longer vibrate when they go off. You'll only hear the sound of the alarm tone you have set. There are no options to configure, so after you install it, it pretty much gets to working right away. The only way to disable this feature if you decide you want the vibration back is to uninstall the tweak.

NoAlarmVibrate is available for free right now in Cydia's ModMyi repository. It works on iOS 8 iPhones. Since iPhones are the only devices with vibration mechanisms, this tweak is not intended for iPod touch or iPad users.
