The highly popular Facebook-acquired Instagram photo sharing service has Monday updated its application for iOS. The iOS App Store is now pushing version 6.2.0 of the application to users' Updates tab.

Version 6.2.0 brings some new features to the application, such as the much needed ability to edit captions on photographs so that you can fix typos and mistakes that used to be permanent unless you went back and deleted the photograph and then re-added it, losing all your likes and comments in the process.

In addition, users can now experience a better way to find new people from the People tab of the application. Improvements have also been made to the application's search feature, giving users a typeahead search that makes it faster and easier to find what you're looking for. The application has also been given some new icons throughout the interface that you'll notice.

Existing users of Instagram will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. If you're not already a user, you can download Instagram for free from this App Store link.
