Default iOS Coming on Strong in Enterprise, Says Good Technology

On Monday, Good Technology shared with MMi its newest report highlighting the latest happenings in the mobile enterprise world for Q3 of 2014.

Not surprisingly, Apple continues to hang tough with its iOS platform across the enterprise landscape as it battles Android and whatever is left of BlackBerry.

Last quarter, iPhone 6 allowed iOS to reverse a decline in activation share and win share back from Android, the report summary notes. All told, iPhone 6 outpaced iPhone 6 Plus in the enterprise, representing 85% of devices activated.

"Total iOS activations increased this quarter, now representing 69 percent, up from 67 percent in the quarter previous. Android activation share dropped by an equal amount," researchers noted.

The findings from Q3 2014 indicate that the introduction of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus "made a significant impact" on the overall share of iOS in the enterprise space today.

    Simply put it, reasons why:

Everyone loves Apple but everyone also loves big phones and videos. Now that apple has a big phone, everyone flocks over like flies on horse ****.

Lastly, what the above poster said. Its meaningless to have an apple device that is so locked down these days. Until there is a jailbreak, updating or activating ios is pointless
