Default 'HideMe8 Lite' Lets You Customize Much of the UI in iOS 8 to Your Liking

If you're looking to start customizing that iOS 8 device of yours and get the user interface of the mobile operating system looking just how you want it, then you'll be happy that one of the first major jailbreak tweaks to let you do this is now available and it's completely free. Dubbed HideMe8 Lite by iOS developer CP Digital Darkroom, this snazzy jailbreak tweak is quite literally like a miniature version of the popular Springtomize jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Filippo Bigarella, which isn't yet iOS 8-compatible.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can get your hands dirty with the various settings:

You'll be able to enable or disable the tweak, as well as configure user interface elements in:

    • Control Center
    • Lock Screen
    • Notification Center
    • SpringBoard
    • Status Bar
    • App Store
    • Camera
    • Messages
    • Music
    • Notes
    • Weather
    • Instagram

More screenshots of the tweak's various settings below show you the vast option coverage that this tweak offers for free:

The tweak is still very much so in its beta stages. The preferences pane notes that the tweak is in beta number 3 at the moment of this writing. Some of the features are enabled, while some are disabled, and future updates will brings additional support in time to come. A full version of the tweak (a non-Lite version) is expected in the near future as well.

If you want to start giving HideMe8 Lite a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for free. It is ad-supported, but that's the trade-off of being free. iOS 8 is required to install HideMe8 Lite; check it out!

Could be a good temporary replacement for springtomize...

I will have to try it out in a few days when I finally jailbreak our two 6+
